• In piping systems, flange connections – for example at spacers, hydrants, or valves – cannot always be installed perfectly straight. This may result in slight angular misalignments between two flanges. Nevertheless, the flanges must be connected without stress. The VD gasket allows for reliable compensation of such angular deviations, even under confined installation conditions, such as in a shaft. It enables the connection of misaligned flanges into a compact unit without the need for an additional gasket.
• The gasket can be adjusted to the respective inclined position of the flanges using the twist and plug mechanism. To do this, the two sealing bodies are axially separated and reassembled in the required position. During installation, the two halves of the gasket are pressed tightly together
